Description:
We’re working with a high-growth, global SaaS organisation at the forefront of Cloud Data Platform optimisation. They’re hiring an experienced Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer to partner closely with enterprise sales teams and drive technical wins across complex deals.

This is a customer-facing, high-impact role ideal for someone who blends technical depth with commercial acumen and thrives in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment.

?? The Role

As a Sales Engineer (Pre-Sales), you will:

Lead technical discovery and qualification with enterprise customers
Deliver tailored product demonstrations across Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery ecosystems
Own Proof of Value (POV) / Proof of Concept (POC) engagements end-to-end
Build compelling business cases and ROI models focused on cost optimisation and performance improvements
Act as a trusted advisor on Cloud Data Platform strategy, FinOps, and cost efficiency
Partner with Sales to drive technical wins across the full deal cycle
Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product and engineering teams
? What We’re Looking For
6–10+ years’ experience as a Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant
Strong experience in B2B SaaS and cloud technologies
Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar data platforms
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Proven track record supporting enterprise sales cycles
Strong understanding of FinOps, cloud cost optimisation, or data platform performance tuning
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
