The Role:
As a Business Development manager, you will be involved in generating new business. In this sales role, you will be generating new business and developing relationships primarily through cold calling and client facing meetings. You will be targeting the construction industry and will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth in both UK and Europe. You will be able to confidently communicate with senior level decision makers such Programme Engineers, Purchasing Managers and Material Engineers. You will be able to come across as a sharp individual, who understands the product and service inside out and can communicate how this will be of a benefit to the client effectively. You will be able to offer a consultative approach to selling as the products you will be delivering will be bespoke and to the requirements of the client. Although you will be primarily generating new business you will also be expected to take on some key accounts.

The Candidate:
The ideal business development manager will have a track record of success in selling any type of bespoke solutions to the construction industry. You will have at least 3 years of sales experience and 7 years industry experience. You will be comfortable communicating with Purchasing Managers and be able to hold your own in a technical conversation with Programme and Material engineers. You will be meticulous, adaptable and an excellent communicator. Being a team player is key as you will be required to maintain both internal and external relationships in order to be successful in this sales role as a business development manager.

The Package:
As a Business Development Manager, you will receive a basic salary of £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience. On top of this generous basic salary you will be heavily rewarded with a very lucrative commission plan and will receive a company car. You will be a part of a dynamic and fast paced thermal/acoustic insulation components company that has a great company culture. You will have a lot of scope for progression as the company grows and will have the opportunity to reach more senior levels of the company.
