A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a high achieving strategic account manager with new business experience. Our client is one of the market leading players in inspection and testing services and this role has a focus on the medical and pharmaceutical space.

The Role
As the Sales Manager you will be given some high profile strategic accounts within the pharmaceutical and medical markets worth in excess of £3.5m/a revenue, and also be tasked with generating new business prospects. Our client specialises in testing and inspection services and this will be focused on selling to medical device manufacturers (syringe, injection, medical technology). You will use your consultative and technical ability within the industry build solid relationships with existing clients.

This will be a fairly autonomous role and while the main aim will be to manage existing accounts, around 30% of your time will be spent hunting for new prospects and closing them. Average order values will vary heavily (£20k/a up to £500k/a) and you will be targeted on your portfolio growth at the end of each year.

The Candidate
The Sales Manager will have an excellent track record of selling the same or similar products/services into the medical and pharmaceutical space. We would consider candidates from a Medical Device manufacturer sales background. A life science qualification would also be highly desirable. This is a strategic role, and not a transactional one, so the ideal candidate will have proven examples and key wins that reflect this.

The Package
The company is offering a package of between £50,000 to £55,000 basic with a rewarding commission structure taking the OTE over £65,000 plus a car or car allowance and benefits that include pension and healthcare.
